Maximillian Casillas graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a B.A. in Politics and a Minor in Legal Studies. Prior to attending Loyola, Max worked as a Legal Assistant in the consumer protection division of Doan Law Firm in San Diego, helping bankruptcy clients obtain relief from creditor harassment. Max also worked as an intern to State Senator Joe Simitian and Mayor Ryan Coonerty of Santa Cruz. During law school, Max externed for the Honorable Judge Richard Fruin of the Los Angeles Superior Court, and also was a law clerk for the civil and employment rights law firm Hadsell, Stormer, & Renick. Most recently, Max was a Summer Law Clerk at the Office of Legislative Counsel in Sacramento drafting legislation for the legislature. Presently, Max is also the co-president of the Loyola National Lawyers Guild.
